10 Tips to Enjoy your Thanksgiving Weekend with The Club at New Seabury

  1. Start the holiday weekend with a specialty cocktail at 95 Shore! We all know how hectic the days leading up to Thanksgiving can be with everyone racing to get out of work and down to the Cape for the weekend. Start the weekend off by heading to 95 Shore and get ready for a relaxing weekend with a delicious specialty cocktail or a bottle from one of the Cape's largest wine programs.Enjoy the evening knowing your only responsibilities the next day are to enjoy time with your loved ones and eat a fantastic Thanksgiving meal prepared by Executive Chef, Mark Porcaro!
  2. Come have Thanksgiving Dinner with us! Let The Club at New Seabury take the stress out of your Thanksgiving.   3. Work off the turkey with a stroll on The Club at New Seabury's walking trails. Sometimes the best remedy to a full stomach is a walk in the crisp Cape Cod November air. With four walking trails winding through the property, you are sure to enjoy our beautiful piece of the Cape to the fullest. If the woods are not your cup of tea, meander down the beaches on Nantucket Sound. Bring a football and stage your own sandy family version of the Thanksgiving football game!
  4. Play a round of golf! Work off your turkey on The Dunes Course or take a look at The Ocean Course renovations by calling The Golf Shop at 508-539-8322 Option 3.Get the whole family out to enjoy the fresh air, spending the day with clubs in hand— we all enjoy some lighthearted family competition now and again!
  5. Kick-start your holiday shopping at The Golf Shop or The Athletic Club Pro Shop. Whether you are shopping for your parents, grandparents, child, or anyone in between, you can find the perfect gift for them at The Golf Shop or The Tennis Shop. Come out for our Black Friday sale at The Athletic Club Pro Shop and enjoy 30% off all in-stock merchandise on Friday 11/29 and Saturday 11/30 from 8:30 am – 12:30 pm.
  6. Stop by The Athletic Club for a fitness class! If you wake up the day after Thanksgiving feeling a little over-stuffed, then head down to The Athletic Club for a fitness class, or even just to work out on your own for a bit. Deep Stretching or Restorative Yoga may be just the thing to center yourself for a weekend of enjoying family.   7. Check out the area. Cape Cod is rife with fun for everyone in your Thanksgiving party!Explore a little or visit some new-to-you local joints! Here are some of our favorite local suggestions:
    • Cahoon Museum of American Art A great way to broaden your horizons and enjoy some classic American artwork. Located just 5 miles down the road, you will know you are there when you see the blue trees, an outdoor immersive art installation! Open Tuesday - Saturday 10:00 am – 4:00 pm, Sunday 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm, closed Thanksgiving Day ($10 general admission, $8 students & seniors, 12 & under free)
    • Cape Cod Children's Museum Spend an afternoon with your little tykes located just ½ mile from The Club at New Seabury's main entrance! Closed Thanksgiving Day ($10 per person)
    • Cotuit Center for the Arts Their live performance of Dr. Doolittle opens on Friday 11/29 and will amuse your whole family! Showtimes: Friday 11/29 at 7:30 pm, Saturday 11/30 at 5:00 pm, Sunday, 12/1 at 2:00 pm ($37 adults, $15 children & students)
    • Gardens Aglow at Heritage Museum and Gardens Though it is located about 15 miles (30 minutes) from The Club at New Seabury, this event is one to engage and amaze your whole family. Walk through the historic Heritage Gardens in Sandwich to enjoy holiday lights and displays throughout their property and kick-off the next piece of the holiday season! Opening Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 11/29 – 12/29 ($20 Adults, $10 Children 3 - 17, 2 & under free)
    • Highfield Hall: Holidays at Highfield Visit historic Highfield Hall in Falmouth for their holiday display that will delight your whole family! Bring out your inner child with some early holiday magic with this piece of quaint Cape Cod. Open 11/29 – 12/8, 12/12 – 12/20, Friday – Sunday 10:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday -Thursday 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm
    • Mashpee Wampanoag Museum Check out this piece of Mashpee history and culture. Come learn the story of the Mashpee Wampanoag people! Located 5.2 miles from The Club at New Seabury main entrance, open 11/29 10:00 am – 4:00 pm ($8 Adults, $5 Children 6 - 18, $7 Seniors, $6 per person for groups of 3+)
  8. Get breakfast at The Sand Wedge Bistro. Stop by The Sand Wedge Bistro, located downstairs at The Country Club for a breakfast sandwich and a warm cup of coffee or tea. Stocked with classic favorites, the simple offerings are sure to please everyone. Open Friday – Sunday, 8:00 am – 2:00 pm, closed for the season after Sunday 12/1.
  9. Give back! It can be easy to focus on the delicious food and fun memories around Thanksgiving, but The Club at New Seabury likes to remember those in our surrounding community who are in need. As the holiday season approaches, stop by a local food pantry and drop off some holiday staples to help a family in need.
